Quintus and the Formidable Curse is a horror-adventure game starring a man and a mouse. The plot continues the events of the first part, Quintus and the Absent Truth, released in 2022. This time, Alan and Quintus face even larger and more dangerous challenges. The gameplay involves solving puzzles with the help of the little mouse Quintus. Players can now switch to Quintus at any time to, for example, crawl through narrow gaps or reach hard-to-reach places. Unlike the first game, where these tasks were separate levels, in the new part they are integrated into the main plot. In addition to Quintus, two more mice appear in the game, each of which has unique abilities associated with natural elements. One of them can control electricity, and the other can control fire.

These abilities help you solve various puzzles and overcome obstacles. Alan will also have to fight enemies using improvised objects such as bats and pipes. In some cases, his mouse friends can help him: the fire mouse can set enemies on fire, and the electric mouse can shock them. To move between locations, Alan uses a rented van, which adds a new element to the gameplay. Players can drive a van on a large map representing a fictional region in Washington state called Cificap County. Quintus and the Formidable Curse promises to be an exciting sequel with new mechanics and exciting adventures for the man and mouse duo.
