Ascendant is a dungeon crawler that combines addictive rogue-like mechanics with fast-paced combat and strategic planning. Players will face challenging enemies, including three unique enemy types for each biome and a mini-boss on each floor. As you progress, you will unlock items with magical properties, many of which can be combined with each other to create powerful synergies. This allows for different ways to combat enemies, making each run unique. With a heavy focus on crafting, you can create combos that can give you an advantage over the next swarm of enemies. The world is built around three different biomes, each with its own set of challenges.

As you progress through the levels, you will have to adapt to the new environments and the enemies that come with them. Each time you face a mini-boss, the stakes are raised. These encounters can change the course of your progress, testing not only your combat skills, but also your ability to prepare and strategize. Ascendant also includes an interesting integration with Tangia, which allows streamers to engage their audience directly in the gameplay. This feature opens up new levels of interaction where viewers can influence the game, creating a dynamic experience that changes with each stream. As you investigate the ancient evil threatening the land, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to experiment with the vast array of abilities and items available to keep the game fresh and exciting.
