Badlands Crew puts the player in control of a combat vehicle in a lawless world that has emerged after a global catastrophe. Key objectives include constructing the vehicle, modifying it, and using it against hostile groups to search for and rescue survivors. You assemble your mobile fortress from individual components, selecting elements such as flamethrowers, sniper turrets, rapid-fire machine guns, observation towers, and medical stations.

In addition, a choice of engines, armor plates, and base chassis is available, which opens up wide possibilities for vehicle configuration. The main goal is to build, develop, and fight for survival in harsh conditions. Successful completion of missions brings experience to the personnel operating the vehicle. These accumulated skills allow you to turn team members into elite wasteland fighters whose abilities complement the capabilities of the combat vehicle and the chosen style of passing Badlands Crew.

Each specialist can be equipped with armor sets and various weapons, which increases their chances of surviving the next clash. Proper distribution of duties within a team is an integral part of successful operations. Missions require solving multiple tasks simultaneously in a tense environment. It is necessary to strategically distribute duties among team members: some operate weapons, others repair damaged vehicles, and others provide assistance to wounded comrades. All this happens while directly controlling the movement of the vehicle, maneuvering through dangerous terrain, and evading attacks from giant underground worms.
