Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap is a unique blend of strategy and chaotic action in one intense action game. It is based on a simple yet addictive concept: defend a rift from hordes of relentless orcs using an arsenal of traps and weapons. Whether you choose to play solo or team up with others, the title always offers something new with each wave of enemies. As you progress, the battlemage you control grows in power, unlocking more powerful tools and traps to keep the orcs at bay. The deeper you delve into the game, the more challenging and rewarding the experience becomes.
The progression system in Orcs Must Die Deathtrap is different in that it offers more than just a standard upgrade path. It is a rogue-lite mechanic where each playthrough can be new thanks to randomized buffs and debuffs. These modifications can change everything from hero stats to environmental conditions, forcing gamers to constantly adapt their strategies. Weather effects, time of day and other random factors keep players on their toes and prevent two identical battles.
The co-op mode also adds variety, allowing players to team up in groups of up to four.
