The Legacy is a co-op survival horror game from Second Reality, set in 1990s Western Ukraine. You play as one of four siblings who return to their cursed hometown of Svetlograd after their grandfather failed to complete a dark ritual 66 years earlier. The story follows these family members, each with unique abilities, as they attempt to lift a supernatural curse that has befallen their hometown and the surrounding Carpathian Mountains.

The game features complex survival mechanics in which players must manage hunger, thirst, temperature, and stamina, battling the elements and mythical creatures through combat or magical rituals. You can hunt animals, fish, gather herbs and mushrooms, and craft potions based on local folklore to combat the dark entities that roam the abandoned city. The vast open world features randomized loot, enemies, and resources for each playthrough, providing a different experience every time you start a new game.

Building and crafting systems allow you to construct bases, camps, or shelters from scavenged materials, while teamwork makes these tasks more efficient when playing with up to four players. The game supports both single-player and multiplayer modes on over 100 servers, and voice and text chat are available for coordination. Combat utilizes both traditional weapons and mystical techniques, requiring players to study local mythology and perform ancient rituals to ward off supernatural threats.
