About The Game

Outward 2 is an uncompromising test of endurance, where the paradigm of classic role-playing games fades into the background in the face of a realistic existence in a hostile world. Each failure does not end the journey, but initiates a new stage with a completely unpredictable outcome. The character risks waking up dispossessed, scarred, and with lingering harmful consequences, finding themselves in an unknown and threatening location from which they must find a way out. The environment of Aurai is subject to a full annual cycle, and the changing seasons radically alter both the landscape and the general living conditions. Snowstorms in the Gilded Mountains or the caustic precipitation in the Catharsis Gorges force constant adaptation to a harsh reality in which even merchants move with the changing seasons.

Protagonist development begins with choosing one of three initial plots and 11 biographies, which set the initial framework for the adventure. Combat mechanics in Outward 2 have been significantly overhauled, resulting in improved fluidity of movement and a greater selection of deadly weapons. Achieving your goal is determined not by accumulated experience, but by meticulous planning and a strategic approach. Overcoming emerging challenges will require the adventurer to carefully manage their backpack, where every item has its own value. They will also need to seek out mentors to master the skills of surviving in extreme conditions, perform rituals to cast spells that enhance attacks, and collaborate with a partner to jointly counter threats.
