Forza Horizon 6 is a massive open-world racing adventure where the goal is to rise from tourist to festival legend. The journey to the top of the racing hierarchy begins small, as earning the coveted bracelet requires completing the Horizon Invitational qualifying rounds. The culmination of this journey is access to the exclusive Island of Legends, reserved exclusively for the greatest drivers. The arena for competition is a vast map replicating the landscapes of Japan. Here, picturesque rural landscapes give way to industrial districts and the neon streets of Tokyo. The capital city is the most detailed and vertically detailed urban location in the series' history, offering a multitude of routes to explore.

The car fleet boasts over 550 real-life models, including classic Japanese cars. Every car in Forza Horizon 6 is deeply customizable. In addition to installing aerodynamic body kits and applying vinyl to windows, you can customize your garage, turning it into a showroom. An entire estate in a mountain valley is also available for development, allowing free construction of various structures. Dynamic weather conditions and seasons add variety to races, and the option to install winter tires allows you to enjoy snowy mountain tracks year-round.

Online and social activities:

Car Meets – allow you to instantly join other racers to showcase your cars and form convoys.
Drag Races – competitions for 12 drivers with synchronized starts on designated tracks.
Circuit Time Trials – allow you to set lap records and compete on leaderboards.
Horizon CoLab – a cooperative building mode where up to 12 players can collaborate to create events right in the world.

Horizon Rush is a new event type the Horizon Festival is introducing to Japan. These events invite you to show off your skills on thrilling obstacle courses, featuring exciting locations such as Tokyo City Docks. With the return of Wristbands in Forza Horizon 6, you will need to unlock and complete each Horizon Rush event to level up and progress closer towards becoming a Horizon Legend.

#4 Meetups for Every Car Enthusiast

Japan has a bunch of locations for you and your friends to meet up at. These include Time Attack Circuits, Car Meets, and Drag Meets, and all of them are integrated into the Shared Open World. This means that you can drive past any of these meetups, see real live players, and join them instantly without any loading screens to slow you down.

Time Attack Circuits are brand new to Forza Horizon 6 with multiple tracks located across Japan. Your goal is simple – drive through the gantry and set your fastest lap time. You can arrive in any car you like, and you'll earn Credits and XP for each lap you complete.

Car Meets are places where you can show off your cars and characters, download tunes and liveries, and even buy a copy of the incredible cars that you see.

Drag Meets are Shared Open World drag races around Japan with 12 car slots at each. Just get to the starting line, position the car, wait for the lights, and go!

To coincide with this important milestone, Forza Horizon 6 is now available for preload on Xbox and Steam. Starting from May 12, you can download the game in its entirety and ensure you’re all set to experience the breathtaking landscapes of Japan as soon as the game is available to you. On Xbox Series X, you will need to have at least 135GB of available storage (130GB on Xbox Series S), and on PC, 160GB and an SSD is required.

You can pre-download Forza Horizon 6 if you have pre-ordered the game (Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, or Premium Edition) or with an active Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass membership. If you’re planning to purchase Forza Horizon 6 on disc, you can also preload the game today by using the Xbox app on smartphones. Simply find Forza Horizon 6 in the Store and hit “Download to Console” to get started.

If you already pre-loaded Forza Horizon 6 with the placeholder file, we highly recommend checking for game updates on your platform of choice to confirm the complete game files are installed. This will ensure you’re all set to play Forza Horizon 6 as soon as Early Access begins on May 15 with the Premium Edition or Premium Upgrade, or on May 19 once the game rolls out globally.
