About The Game

The Walking Trade is a brutal test of moral principles, forcing the owner of a trading post to balance genuine aid to survivors with cynical sabotage of neighboring settlements for the sake of excess profit. A merchant's reputation directly determines their clientele, requiring constant adaptation to the changing conditions of the post-apocalypse. Sudden invasions by hordes of the walking dead force the regular use of firearms or improvised melee weapons. To minimize destruction, a comprehensive construction system allows for the erection of reliable barricades, the creation of deadly traps, and the upgrading of defensive structures. Successfully repelling raids yields valuable materials needed for further business expansion. Batteries serve as the main currency, ensuring the functioning of the entire local economy.

Delegating routine duties to hired personnel becomes the key to the survival of the business. Recruited wanderers can obtain scarce raw materials, patrol the perimeter, or serve customers. Maintaining a high level of motivation and ensuring employees are properly equipped guarantees a stable income. The Walking Trade project requires careful spatial planning, combining visual appeal with maximum capacity. Transforming chaos into a thriving commercial empire requires the manager to perform four critical tasks daily:

• Properly distribute available inventory across shelves to meet demand
• Set flexible pricing on essential consumables;
• Create homemade tools at specialized production stations;
• Personally clear the sales floor of infected individuals who have broken through the barriers.
