Voodoo Fishing, a meditative aquatic fishing experience with horror elements, plunges gamers into the depths of endless swamps. Exploring these murky waters is fraught with mortal danger, as local monsters are always ready to tear unwary fishermen apart. A fatal outcome instantly depletes your inventory, forcing you to treasure every rare item you've acquired. The game's autonomous architecture eliminates dependence on centralized servers, guaranteeing constant access to locations. The environment is filled with atmospheric details like scurrying turtles, creepy crabs, and puppet outfits that allude to bad habits. Building your own fishing puppet serves as the starting point for immersion into a hostile ecosystem.

Cooperative forays with up to four players are accompanied by spatial chat, heightening the tension. Voodoo Fishing core gameplay revolves around the search for legendary trophies and their subsequent sale. The local fishmonger generously pays for every kilogram of catch delivered to the pier. The proceeds are invested in reel upgrades, sturdy rods, and advanced bait. Rusty Remy, a wanderer wandering the area, readily accepts the trash he collects for useful barter. Successful expeditions allow the area to be decorated with taxidermy and nameplates hung on the buildings.
