About The Game

Whether you are a young Gaul wannabe or a committed warrior with hundreds of Roman helmets as trophies, adventure awaits in Asterix and Obelix XXL Romastered. This updated version of the game may have made it into a magic potion, as both the graphics and soundtrack have been completely redesigned, and reworked animations have been added to the game, as well as some completely new gameplay elements. Of course, as is usually the case in the series, players will be able to switch between the two Gauls as they see fit. In addition to improvements, the Romastered edition offers 4 new game modes for even more Roman slap fun. This includes a parkour mode that requires agility, an hourglass mode focused on speed, and an extremely difficult Extreme mode.

Finally, Cherry on the Boar, so to speak, is the fourth new game mode called Retr, which will allow you to switch between the original graphics and the new updated version with the click of a button. In this action adventure, all the villagers have been kidnapped and are now being held captive around the world by the cursed Romans. As such, you will need to start a rescue mission with Asterix, Obelix and the faithful Dogmatics, visiting places like Normandy, Greece, Helvetia and Egypt, with a necessary stopover in Rome. To free Getafix, Panacea, Cacofonix and everyone else, you will have to fight all enemies in your path Romans, pirates and even Vikings.
