About The Game

Fading Afternoon is a 2D pixel art side-scrolling RPG that tells the story of Seiji Maruyama, a middle-aged yakuza fresh out of prison. The story takes place in a fictional city reminiscent of Tokyo in the 1980s. The plot of the project revolves around Seiji’s struggle to adapt to life outside prison and his attempts to reunite with his crime family. Along the way, he must navigate a dangerous underworld filled with rival gangs, corrupt cops and treacherous allies. Fading Afternoon gameplay is divided into different modes, including exploration, combat, and dialogue. In the first case, users move around the city, interacting with NPCs and completing tasks. In the second, participants fight enemies in real time using a variety of weapons, including katanas, pistols and brass knuckles. Dialogue mode allows gamers to choose Seiji’s responses in conversations with other characters, which affects the plot and ending of the game.
