The storys central character is David Lagani, a simple Filipino worker. His ordinary life is shattered by paranoia after news of a mysterious figure abducting people from their homes. Nights become an endless ordeal, and every rustle through the walls is perceived as a direct threat. In Taguan, the protagonist can only hope that the unknown figure's footsteps dont stop at his door. The title is a reference to the children's game of hide and seek, symbolizing the hero's helplessness in the face of horror. At the same time, the narrative does not shy away from depicting scenes of violence and bloodshed.
