About The Game

Gimmick 2 is a modern revival of the classic 1992 Famicom game, combining the action and adventure genres. Players control Yumetaro, a green yokai who sets out on a new journey decades after his first adventure. The game offers two game modes: an assistive version for casual players and a challenging «true-to-original» mode for hardcore fans. Yumetaro’s unique ability to summon and throw a star with momentum-based physics is central to the gameplay and is used for combat, puzzle solving, and exploration.

The versatile star mechanic allows players to find hidden treasures, discover shortcuts, and set speed records. Visually, the game has been updated with updated graphics while retaining the charm of its predecessor. Legendary composer David Wise created the soundtrack, mixing new tunes with reimagined classics.
