About The Game

Tempest Rising is a modern real-time strategy game that pays homage to classic RTS games from the 90s and 2000s, set in an alternate history war scenario. Players can command the technologically advanced Global Defense Force or the brutal Tempest Dynasty in two 11-mission campaigns, each centered around the mysterious Tempest vines spreading across the Earth. The game features classic base-building mechanics combined with fast-paced combat, allowing players to build their bases and engage in strategic battles.

Each of the three distinct factions (two are available at launch) offers unique units, economic systems, and gameplay approaches, providing a variety of strategic options. In addition to the story campaigns, players will be able to test their skills in skirmish mode, custom games, and ranked multiplayer matches using the Glicko-2 rating system. The game combines traditional RTS elements with modern production values, maintaining strategic depth and rewarding players for their skill through customizable army composition and adaptable play styles.

    Ready for new orders, Commander! This update brings a few minor community-requested features and changes, including: an update and clarification to our EULA, a new Difficulty Selector for Campaign missions, and an option to mute players during matches.
    We also focused on improving the general gameplay feel and the viability of more diverse strategies for both the GDF and Dynasty factions. Some notable updates include:
    Improved Air unit weapon tracking when attacking enemies
    Added new ‘Repair Aura’ mechanic to the GDF’s Repair Bay
    Added new ‘Healing Aura’ ability (Temporary Infirmary) to the GDF’s Guard Tower
    Added Silence effect to the Dynasty Dragonfly’s Signal Disruptor ability
    Read below for the full list of updates, balance changes, and bug fixes.
     
    EULA Update
    We have made some minor changes to our EULA to improve clarity and accuracy regarding privacy and data, based on concerns we were seeing from some players regarding its original wording.
    In short, we do not sell player data. We respect your privacy and only use the minimal information necessary to provide a secure and stable game experience.
     
    Notably, this section was added under “2. General Provisions”:

    "2.3 The COMPANY does not scan, access, or collect information about the hardware or devices of Users beyond what is strictly necessary for the operation and security of the Game. The Game does not collect, store, or sell any personal data or information about Users for marketing or commercial purposes.     Update v1.6.0.53840:
    Balance Updates
    With our Superior Firepower update, we made some big changes to both the GDF and Dynasty Factions, including reworks to the GDF’s DCU and the Dynasty’s Salvage Aura. Additionally, we added a Perk to some GDF units and structures called “Intel Storageâ€, which causes them to lose Intel when they are destroyed.
     
    We are continuing to balance these new features, as well as each Superweapon, with the goal of maintaining the fun factor and competitiveness of each Faction.
     
    Global Defense Force (GDF)
     
     
    Now that the GDF can lose Intel when units with the Intel Storage Perk are destroyed, we are slightly increasing the base rate at which they gain it to keep their overall Intel economy healthier. This applies to the Construction Yard, Satellite Uplink, and Data Core.
     
    Construction Yard
    Intel generation frequency increased to 1 Intel per 6 seconds (from 7 seconds)
     
    Satellite Uplink
    Intel generation frequency is increased to 1 Intel per 8 seconds (from 10 seconds)
     
    Health increased to 2200 (from 1600)
     
    Credit Cost decreased to 1600 (from 2000)
     
    Data Core
    Intel generation frequency increased to 1 Intel per 6 seconds (from 7 seconds)
     
    Health increased to 3000 (from 2500)
     
    Credit Cost decreased to 2000 (from 2500)
     
    Skycrane Carrier
    Considering the cost of the Stealth ability, we are adjusting its cooldown timer to make it feel less punitive.
     
    Stealth ability cooldown decreased to 20 seconds (from 60 seconds)
