About The Game

Backyard Baseball 01 is the second installment in the sports franchise, allowing players to assemble a roster of 30 Backyard kids and professional MLB athletes. The main objective is to alternate between going to bat and pitching to score runs while preventing the opposition from doing so. During the match, players can use 9 unique pitcher power-ups and 4 separate batter power-ups to influence the outcome of the rally. The title offers the option to customize team uniforms and develop strategies to fight for the championship title throughout the season.

Voice-overs from characters Sunny Day and Vinnie accompany the action on the field. This game offers several ways to interact with the content. In Backyard Baseball 01, you can choose a quick match Random Pick-up with instant roster assignment or Single Game mode, which provides a draft with alternating athlete selection. For a longer immersion, a full season mode is presented, challenging the player to manage his team during a series of competitions. Gameplay takes place across 8 different stadiums, each with its own layout, and the difficulty level can be adjusted between easy, medium and hard. Before the competition, the batting practice area allows players to battle the Mr. Clanky machine to hone their hitting technique.
