About The Game

Northwind is an indie strategy game from Barking Kitten Interactive that puts you in control of a mercenary traveling through a dangerous frozen wasteland. You'll choose your mercenary, plan hunting routes, and battle fearsome bosses while managing resources and crafting powerful cards at the central Northwind Outpost.

Card crafting goes beyond simple deckbuilding, allowing you to imbue cards with gem abilities, forge duplicates, smelt mana to enhance effects, and fuse similar cards into more powerful versions. Northwind Outpost serves as a crafting hub, where the rewards from battles become resources for creating new card combinations.

The rogue-lite progression system uses Legacy Points earned from defeating bosses to expand your outpost's services and unlock new strategic options. As you gain power, the danger level increases, with more dangerous monsters and powerful bosses appearing, each level increasing as you progress. This creates an evolving challenge, in which both you and the threats in the frozen lands become increasingly formidable over time.
