About The Game

TR-49, whose gameplay relies on listening to and comparing fragments, is a hybrid of audio drama and deductive investigation. The central element of the narrative is a mysterious World War II-era device hidden in a church basement. Created by engineers Cecil Calderley and Beatrice Duler, this device contains a vast archive of rare books and letters. For 50 years, data was downloaded into it in an attempt to crack the code of reality itself.

While the lives of its creators were destroyed, the device continued to function. Years later, it is reactivated, and a mysterious voice through a speaker tasks the player with finding a stolen book, knowing only its title. The core of TR-49 lies not in solving traditional puzzles, but in deeply analyzing information. Progression requires careful reading between the lines and testing hypotheses, as the story changes as new clues are discovered. To uncover the secrets of the machine's creators and understand one's own role in the events unfolding, a series of sequential actions must be completed.
