About The Game

Forbidden Solitaire is a card horror game masquerading as an old disc game, but it quickly becomes a bit of a throwback. You launch Solitaire, and instead of calmly laying out cards, you find yourself in a strange digital dungeon, where each game feels like an attempt to escape something that clearly shouldn't exist. The atmosphere is immediately oppressive: visuals reminiscent of old FMVs, strange imagery, and the feeling that someone is watching the game.

The mechanics are built on familiar principles, but they're presented differently. Mistakes are costly, and success comes through risky decisions. Modifiers appear that change the rules on the fly, forcing you to adapt quickly. Some buffs help, while others create new problems, and it's not always clear what exactly you've just picked up. Between games, new elements are revealed that enhance or distort the gameplay. Strange "purchases," incomprehensible entities, and objects gradually transform an ordinary card game into something more disturbing. Eventually, you're no longer just playing, but trying to figure out what's happening and whether it's worth continuing.
