Curious Expedition 2 Shores Of Taishi — the second part of an adventure series in the bagel genre created by Maschinen-Mensch, in which players go on an expedition to unknown territories full of mysteries and dangers. The story takes place in the 19th century. And again, the players at the head of the legendary Explorers Club, whose members are outstanding personalities known to us from the pages of history. The goal of the club is to organize expeditions to discover unknown regions and thus gain wealth and fame. As the reputation grows, the main character gets access to the inner circles of mysterious organizations, which leads to special benefits and the opportunity to travel to more.

In Curious Expedition 2, players travel through procedurally generated maps, shown from top to bottom. They differ from each other by type of terrain, population, opponents and battles, which, combined with the randomness of the world, give a significant sense of rivalry. Having reached an interesting place, the game shows players animated maps taken directly from 2D adventure games that players can explore by making choices related to the story. Players must face mysterious buildings, mystical ruins and other places where wealth and glory await. Keep in mind traps and deadly curses on the way to the precious treasure.

First of all, however, players should plan their trip in the best possible way. A properly equipped expedition increases the chances of survival during an expedition full of unexpected situations and threats. Adequate resource management is essential for maintaining the lives of all people and ensuring their psychological comfort, which leads to increased efficiency.

In the game, players often encounter villages inhabited by indigenous peoples with whom they have to interact. During the conversation, you can learn about the history of this population and about interesting places to visit. Players also have the opportunity to exchange them in order to buy the missing resources or exchange some goods for other, more unique ones. Fighting is another equally important element in Curious Expedition 2. Players have a wide selection of opponents, from local animals to mystical creatures (as befits a game inspired by Cthulhu myths) and dinosaurs. Each member of the expedition owns a unique weapon.
