RUNNING TRAIN 走ル列車 asks a simple question. What if driving a train was not about stress but about finding a moment of calm in a busy day. This 2026 casual indie simulation Early Access game from Novatetsu Games lets you answer by taking the conductor seat on a picturesque local line. You start your shift at a small rural station. Your passengers are few, but they each have a small story, a student heading to school, an elderly couple on a day trip. The game encourages you to drive gently, because a sudden stop spills coffee and upsets the mood. The latest version adds a passenger satisfaction meter that rewards smooth driving and on time arrivals.
Simulation elements are light but authentic, with working signals, crossing gates, and a simple timetable. Casual design means you can pause at any time and never fail, just receive a lower score. Indie art style uses pixel art characters against painted backgrounds. Early Access currently includes one full line with eight stations, with more planned.
