Harold Halibut is a narrative-driven adventure game set in a vast, handcrafted world made entirely of clay. Set on a stranded spaceship, the player takes on the role of Harold, a humble janitor who dreams of one day leaving the ship and exploring the vast, mysterious planet outside. As Harold, players will interact with quirky clay characters and solve puzzles to uncover the secrets of the ship and its inhabitants. The project features a unique combination of 2D and 3D visual design: the characters and objects in the foreground are made in 2D clay animation.

Gameplay focuses on exploration and puzzle solving as players navigate the ship and its various rooms, each with their own unique challenges and obstacles to overcome. Gamers will collect objects and tools that can be used to solve puzzles, such as a wrench to tighten bolts or a flashlight to illuminate dark places. The plot is revealed through conversations with the ship’s inhabitants, such as Captain Fishbeard, the grumpy and contentious leader of the ship, and C.O.R.A, the ship’s AI assistant. As players uncover the truth about the condition of the ship and the stranded planet, they will also uncover a deeper conspiracy surrounding the fate of the entire planet. Harold Halibut offers a charming combination of exploration, puzzle solving and storytelling in a one-of-a-kind animated clay world.
