Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna)

Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) is a platformer based on the legends of the Alaskan people. A girl named Nuna from the Inupiat tribe and her Arctic fox set off on long journeys across the icy desert. The friends strive to find the source of the incessant snowstorm and save their home. The game is designed for 1 or 2 players. In the first case, the gamer will switch between characters to use their abilities. The furry animal is agile and nimble, so it climbs up hills and crawls through cracks. Nuna, like a human, drags objects and destroys obstacles with the help of traditional weapons of her tribe (bolas). The developers strongly recommend playing together.

The computer partner can slow down, and thus interfere with rapid progress. Chapters differ from each other in game mechanics. In some locations, the characters have difficulty moving due to strong winds, in others, they need to swim or climb rocks. There are levels where the heroes run away from polar bears. In addition to the local animals, the partners encounter dark spirits and a «man-killer». However, not everyone in this world is hostile. The player will be helped by light spirits. One of them is the «owl man», who gave the heroine a magic weapon that awakens spirits. If an insurmountable abyss is encountered on the way, good ghosts will transport the girl on their backs. Game events are accompanied by short videos telling about the life of the Inupiat. A total of 24 historical inserts are opened. They contain the mythology, culture and ideals of the northern people.
