Shadowveil Legend of the Five Rings is a strategy role-playing game developed by Palindrome Interactive and the first video game in the long-running L5R universe. Set in Rokugan, a fantasy world inspired by Asian history and folklore, you command samurai on a dangerous expedition through the corrupt Twilight Lands. Gameplay focuses on strategic decision-making rather than micromanagement: you’ll recruit samurai, use ability and item cards to create powerful synergies, and send scouts on a variety of paths, each offering unique challenges and rewards.

As you progress, you’ll unlock new classes and watch as carefully crafted strategies unfold in combat. The game features roguelike progression, where your party becomes stronger with each run, allowing you to delve deeper into increasingly complex and dangerous territory. This rich setting combines elements of Japanese folklore, where dragons, werewolves and demonic forces exist alongside warring samurai clans vying for power and honor.

Fixed Return to Watchtower confirmation text is now correct
Fixed so Gate shouldn't allow player to Embark with more units than slots.

Welcome to 1.1.1 update brings additional QOL and bugfixes, but this will be the last patch for the entire game.
 
It’s been a privilege to work on Shadowveil, its been an absolute blast to take part of the Legend of the Five Rings universe, and the team eternally grateful to you, our community for supporting us in creating and launching Shadowveil.
 
Thank you for playing Shadowveil: Legend of the Five RIngs, and hopefully we see each other soon in another context.
