Love Elections and Chocolate centers on Oojima Yuuki, a student at Takafuji Academy, where the student council has influence over the school clubs. The protagonist and his friends are members of the Culinary Research Club, a group more focused on snacks than serious cooking. When a candidate for Student Council President proposes a policy to disband unnecessary organizations, the boy’s group is targeted.

With no other choice, he runs in the election himself, which sets off a chain of events that tests friendships, reveals hidden motives, and forces him to face unexpected challenges. An election campaign is more than just a political contest in Love, Elections, and Chocolate. The protagonist interacts with a variety of students, each with a stake in the outcome of the election. His childhood friend, Sumiyoshi Chisato, is vehemently opposed to the organization’s disbandment, but her motives go beyond loyalty to the club. Other candidates, including the self-sufficient Shinonome Satsuki, bring their own ideals to the race.

As the debate unfolds, secrets come to light and the protagonist is forced to make choices that affect relationships and the future of the school. Behind the political maneuvering lie personal conflicts. Some characters struggle with past events, while others struggle with unspoken emotions. The story evolves through the user’s decisions, shaping Yuuki’s journey and leading to a variety of possible conclusions. Along the way, moments of levity are mixed with serious tones, reflecting the complexities of adolescence. The title is a multi-layered narrative where camaraderie, ambition, and personal struggle intersect.
