CleanFall is an indie sandbox survival roguelite where you take on the role of a humble cleaning bot on a literal mission to save the world all in the name of creating a spotless home. After a tech-obsessed maniac brings the Earth closer to the sun, turning its surface into a dusty wasteland, you must descend into the planet's underground depths to restore order and cleanliness to the world. Starting with a modified vacuum cleaner, you'll grow from a simple cleaner to a fearsome mechanical warrior thanks to an extensive perk system that improves everything from movement speed to turret firepower.

The game combines ship-building mechanics with tower defense elements, allowing you to build customizable warships and utilize an innovative alchemy-based turret system where combining different defensive units creates powerful hybrid weapons like drone factories and mortars. Survival depends on mastering a dynamic underground ecosystem filled with exotic creatures whose behavior you must study and exploit. You'll collect mysterious flora, mine resources, and navigate a procedurally generated world where no two playthroughs are the same from the layout of biomes to item availability and story encounters. An extensive item system forces creative problem-solving as resource availability changes from one playthrough to the next, keeping the gameplay fresh and interesting. Each descent reveals more of the centuries-spanning story, gradually revealing the apocalyptic events that led to the current state of the world as you fight towards the planet's core to confront the mastermind of chaos.
