Falling for Yaoguais is a fantasy visual novel that immerses you in Taiwanese supernatural folklore with a romantic twist. You get a job at a seemingly ordinary amusement park, only to discover that it is run by yaoguai (supernatural beings) who originally planned to make you their next meal. Now you must disguise yourself as one of them and secretly investigate a larger conspiracy.

The game centers on four different love interests based on Taiwanese legends: Bai Ruomu, a deity of thousand-year-old trees who masquerades as the park's manager; Mo Daan, an arrogant snake prince who works as a scientist; Specter Jin, an ancient spirit who once demanded human sacrifices and now just wants to pretend to be nice; and Yan Xinman, a mischievous elf who performs as a superstar. Each character has deep roots in Taiwanese Yaoguai mythology, giving the novel an authentic cultural foundation.

With over 300,000 words and over 150 possible outcomes, the story has considerable depth as you navigate relationships and uncover the truth behind the park's operations. The game features a rewind system that allows you to explore different dialogue options without consequences, as well as the unique ability to romance all four characters at once. Depending on your choices, there are five different endings, including four character-specific routes and one bad ending, making multiple playthroughs worthwhile for completionists.
