Galactic Civilizations 3 Villains of Star Control DLC is a 4X turn-based strategy in the space setting, with an emphasis on planetary control, the construction of star bases, as well as the ability to create your own ships. The game, like its predecessors, evades any form of tactical combat, but the player’s role in the construction of the fleet has been significantly improved.

For some, resembling a previous game might make the game too simple, with the feeling that GalCiv 3 has not advanced enough. It’s clear why a more conservative approach was chosen, but there are areas where Stardock could be more impudent during development.

The game provides an opportunity to play for 8 races, 7 of them from the previous game and one new, playing the role of hyper-capitalists, although they have a more pragmatic than ruthless approach compared to the race they replaced. This is one of the most customizable races I’ve seen. You can choose any of the presented graphic backgrounds, and the player can also upload their own. Choose a leader’s image (and you can also download), each aspect of the texts can be changed, and the player gets the opportunity to freely distribute their bonus points, perks. You can also choose two unique qualities that give good bonuses, and even customize the nature of the race when it is under AI control. You can also choose which set of ships to use, and your colors and textures, as well as which of the technological trees you have access to.

The game well supports modifications, it even allows you to make several unique fractions if the player is ready to dive into modding. Even without mods, the player is given a wide choice when creating fractions for himself or for AI. Although none of the possible options will make any race «bizarre», a variety of options provide a good level of customization.

How to Install the Game
