About The Game

The Blackout Club tells about the adventures of a group of modern teenagers living in a small town. Everyone suffers from a strange disease — they wake up in the morning, being shabby and dirty, not remembering what happened at night, and sometimes the previous day. To solve this mystery, they form an alliance with each other and quickly discover the underground labyrinth from which hypnotic music originates. In addition, last night one of the friends disappeared. A mysterious group of adults seems to be behind this. However, no one believes the children, so in order to solve the riddle and find a friend, the heroes need to catch the criminals red-handed, fix their misdeeds and hide safely to reveal their actions to the world.

Gameplay The Blackout Club is an unusual horror game created for team play. The game involves a maximum of four players who play the role of individual characters who have specific tasks that must be performed, which requires close cooperation. A plan of joint action should be developed to outwit larger and stronger opponents and gather evidence. To do this, we use various traps and gadgets, such as drone. The characters have different paths and goals that need to be accomplished, which requires us to think diligently — for example, if you need to write down an enemy who is dragging a victim to shelter, one of the players must be caught. Interestingly, further tasks are generated during the mission, so you cannot always prepare for any situation. In addition, the level of difficulty increases with the number of people playing. Successes in the game are rewarded with experience, which is reflected in the acquisition of new skills at the base, where we also select equipment for missions. Although there are many abilities available, we can only select a few of them every night.

There are various threats in the game. One of the main types of opponents is the so-called Lucids, a group responsible for strange events in the city that see, hear and act in strong light. In addition to them, we often meet crazy. They are ordinary city dwellers, such as teachers, who are exploited by the enemy without even realizing it. These enemies do not see us, but they can hear us if we move too loudly. In addition, there is also a person known as Boogeyman. This is an invisible creature that hunts a player who has the most serious crime on his account, for example, kills a sleepwalker. However, the AI itself is responsible for selecting the target, so you never know who you really hunt. Opponent can be seen only after you closed your eyes and temporarily lost consciousness. This system provides many unexpected moments, because when you enter this state, you may find that the Boogeyman is right behind your companion.
