The plot of the game Corpse Party 2 Dead Patient — unfolds a few months after the events of the previous part. The main character Ayumi Shinozaki paid a very high price for the use of black magic. Despite the events experienced, one cannot count on a peaceful life. Her aunt informs her that the family has kept the mysterious Book of Shadows for generations. In the wrong hands, it can lead to the destruction of the world. At the moment, the tome is located in a former family residence. Ayumi has to find her.
In terms of gameplay, Corpse Party 2 Dead Patient is not significantly different from its predecessor. Events are shown in an isometric perspective, and the gameplay itself comes down to studying the gloomy rooms of the house. During the passage, we solve puzzles, as well as make complex decisions that will significantly affect the plot.
From time to time, Ayumi is faced with monsters and other supernatural dangers. Since the game does not provide for the possibility of battle, in emergency situations, the main character must run away. Of the «weapons» Ayumi has only a flashlight, which is useful when searching for various objects in dark rooms. Its battery runs out quickly, so one of the main elements of the gameplay is also energy saving and the search for spare batteries. In addition, it is worth noting the musical accompaniment, which perfectly complements the atmosphere. As for the graphic component, it has not changed much compared to the previous part.
