Unlike much of the series, the game is story-focused. The game was developed and released by Capcom. Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruins tells the story of a young hunter who can use the Kinship Stone, a stone that allows you to establish relationships with monsters. In Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruins, we view the world from a third person perspective. The game is based on the same rules as in the previous parts we explore locations, complete tasks and hunt monsters using different types of weapons during our adventures.

As the game progresses, we receive and create new equipment, as well as strengthen our hero and learn new skills. Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruins additionally introduces a monster friendship mechanic that is a bit similar to what we know from the Pokemon loop. Creatures help us fight, and by building relationships with them, we improve their statistics. When we travel, we also meet various characters who can accompany us. In Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruins, we can only play alone. The game offers a storyline campaign.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruins has a nice 3D graphic design. Technically, the game does not belong to the top of the genre, but the graphics have their advantages for example, spectacular projects of locations and monsters. A slightly manga-like art style reminiscent of Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild might also be nice.
