A Year Of Rain — is a real-time strategy in which you will have to lead one of the existing factions and fight for its existence with the undead, the outcasts, and other equally dangerous enemies. The events of the game take place in a huge fantasy world in which there was once a war that continues to this day. Now the fractions are scattered, the kingdoms have broken up, and you in this newly formed world will have to defend your right to exist. You have to create your own hero, the future ruler, and start a war not for life, but for death.

The gameplay in A Year Of Rain is quite simple and is based on traditional mechanics for the genre. That is, it all comes down to the standard accumulation of resources, the construction of buildings, the study of technology, the creation of units, and the battles that will take place literally everywhere. Nothing fundamentally new. But at the same time, the game still captivates, at least with a unique atmosphere and setting.

In total, three game fractions will be available to you. This is Rupa’s House, Wild Outcasts, and restless undead. Each fraction is unique in its own way and offers a number of its unique features. Moreover, the developers perfectly balanced the forces of the factions and each emphasized a certain direction one has strong foot units, the other can get more resources, and the third one has an extended list of units.

The storyline will allow you to go through more than a dozen unique tasks for each of the factions, fight with other factions, learn more about how the war began and what triggered it, and more. But there is also a network mode of battles, in which you can fight in the «2 VS 2» mode. The rest is a typical strategy. Build a base, develop technology, create units and fight enemies.
