RPG Time The Legend of Wright — is a colorful role-playing game set in an imaginary fantasy world created on a children’s desk from pencil sketches, cardboard cutouts and other everyday items. Awarded and honored at industry events, the game is the debut project of Deskworks, an independent developer studio based in Japan. When developing the game, the creators were inspired by classic jRPGs such as Dragon Quest. RPG Time The Legend of Wright is an RPG in which we explore a fantasy world created in a sketchbook by a young artist who is passionate about classic paper and console RPG.

Players control the hero directly, moving him through black and white locations presented from different points of view. Sometimes we have to break the fourth wall and use the pencil or eraser on the table to erase or draw some new piece of scenery. During the adventure, we interact with many NPCs and fight dangerous enemies. Duels are accompanied by various mini-games, such as using special attacks and items. The game can surprise us at every turn, often changing conventions and graphic style.

The audiovisual setting is one of RPG Time The Legend of Wright biggest strengths. The developers approached the creation of a world that is built by the hand of a child with a vivid imagination, with great attention to detail and ingenuity. Thanks to this, the game brings to mind such hits from the Media Molecule studio as Tearaway and LittleBigPlanet.
