Surviving the Abyss — is an economic survival strategy game. It takes place in an alternate Cold War reality in 1976, during a fierce arms race. As the manager of an underwater base at the bottom of the ocean, you will try to develop and improve human cloning technology in order to achieve military superiority. At the same time, we will have to take care of basic resources such as oxygen, energy and food. An important element will be the expansion of the research center with new infrastructure, including special lighting systems.

How to Install the Game

Events:
 
- Added new emergent events with varying outcomes and prerequisites: Blood in the Water, Unknown Signal, Worship Ritual.
 
- Next events in event chains now fire before any new additional event threads are fired
 
UI:
 
- Change the building cost prefab to now display "current resource amount / required resource amount" - Improved visibility of resource costs (appears when hovering a building in the building menu)
 
- Updating wording, grammar on all notifications
 
- Sonar beacon UI now animates and wobbles during placement
 
- Various button highlights updated and button audio firing for some missing buttons + Tooltip positions for various buttons updated
 
- Replaced various icons with clearer iconography and higher resolution

Performance
 
- Update various material render orders to get more batching
 
- More aggressive terrain culling, increased terrain pixel error, simplify terrain generator for faster loading.

- Slightly reduce wait time before first objective appears, reduction in wait time between all objectives
 
 
Balancing
 
- +5% extraction speed for building resources (improving recovery when player runs low on resource stockpiles)
 
- Increase anomaly aggression in 'Drowning Depths' Scenario
 
- Adjusting spawn rates of various items across all biomes
 
Visual:
 
- Updated AoE Shaders to use normal resolution rendering path (previously set to low res)
 
- Building alignment indicators now render on top of everything, height set to middle of tunnel height, correctly set length on diagonal connections
 
- Reposition all docking points on to be at same position and symmetrical
