Ten Dates is a narrative romantic comedy FMV adventure game. It was developed by Wales Interactive and Good Gate Media and is the sequel to the 2020 Five Dates game. The main characters of Ten Dates are Misha and Ryan. Trying to find a partner, a young Londoner persuades her friend to attend a speed dating event. There they both meet with five potential partners, with the outcome of the event depending on the decisions made by the player. The game features 10 different endings.

The gameplay of Ten Dates mainly consists of observing the conversations that Misha and Ryan have. The dialogue options we choose determine the course of the conversation, and also affect the attitude of potential partners towards your characters. While the conversations are rather banal at first, they soon turn to personal questions and unexpected confessions; Conversations are also made more interesting with various games designed to break the ice such as arm wrestling and various awkward situations.

All this is complicated by the limitation of the time during which we must make each choice and it is very short. Every person Misha and Ryan meet has a different personality and tastes, so it’s hard to predict which answers they’ll like and which they won’t. Like the Five Dates game, the game has attitude indicators for all characters, showing how good or bad our flirting is going. Ten Dates consists of over 12 hours of footage. The game was directed by Paul Rashid, and the main characters were portrayed by Rosie Day and Charlie Maher.
