Norland allows users to control a medieval city-state. This is a city-building simulation of the management of the kingdom and part-time strategy in real time. Players lead a family that controls a settlement. In addition to representatives of the upper class, there are also ordinary residents in the village. Each person here is an individual. All people have individual biographies, family traits, skills, needs, innate and acquired character traits. They can fall in love, make love, start families and have children, passing on some of their parameters to them. This video game has a high replay value. Starting conditions based on multiple parameters are generated randomly on each run.

Norland contains blood and dismemberment, despite the cartoony graphics. During hostilities, uprisings and just everyday quarrels, virtual little men arrange a massacre with chopping off the limbs of rivals. The population is divided into 4 estates: slaves, peasants, criminals and soldiers. The task of users is to take care of the happiness of the inhabitants and stop the riots. Gamers can build buildings, regulate the prices of goods, engage in diplomacy, build defenses, issue instructions to their wards, trade, fight with other kingdoms. Also, users often need to make ambiguous decisions and monitor the relationship between members of the royal family, based on the lust for power, love, betrayal, hatred, jealousy and envy.

Fixed a bug that caused soldiers to return to the warehouse after a battle where their weapons were broken, even though they were part of a squad.
Fixed a bug that allowed soldiers to take the worst weapons among all those assigned when creating an army.
Balance adjustments for all types of weapons.
It is now possible to recruit only disgruntled peasants into the army (work occupation no longer matters).
Added support for FXAA anti-aliasing.
Changed the mechanics of fatal wounds and beheading.
Fixed a game freeze issue when a blind actor gained experience in combat skills.

- A technology has been added for constructing the Granary and Armory.

- Starting resources have been adjusted when launching a new game or tutorial.

- A new advice message warns that resources ripening in the fields might not fit in the warehouses after harvest.

- The production and finance menus have been merged into the new Economy menu.

- A technology "Salaries" has been added, allowing gold salaries to be paid to town residents. Requires 30 residents.

- A new thought "Wealth" has been added. It appears when a resident has 31 or more coins.

- The "Temple" technology now requires knowledge level 9 instead of 3.
