About The Game

City of Springs takes place in the city of Riveton, where a corrupt regime keeps the citizens under strict control. The protagonist, Val, is a mechanic from the slums who is determined to change things. The game follows Val’s journey as she tries to fight back against the oppressive system, using her skills to create drones that can withstand the regime’s sentry robots. Along the way, she must avoid detection, navigate the tight security, and gather resources to build and upgrade her creations. It’s a struggle, as the people of Riveton live under constant surveillance and the threat of punishment for even small acts of rebellion. The city itself is a mix of beauty and decay, with its towering structures and mechanical wonders, but it’s also a place where everyday life is a constant struggle for survival.

People toil tirelessly in the foundries, trying to survive each day, while the regime tightens its grip on resources like food and water. As Val, players get to experience not only physical combat, but also the deeper challenges of working with limited resources to take down an all-powerful machine force. Combat in City of Springs is as much about strategy as it is about fighting. Stealth plays a big role as players sneak past guards and security systems, carefully choosing when to engage in combat and when to avoid conflict. Crafting and assembling drones is another core mechanic, offering creative use of the environment and materials.
