About The Game

River Towns is a casual strategy puzzle game developed by Frogsong Studios in which players place uniquely shaped buildings in a limited space to create vibrant riverside towns. Each playthrough offers a new challenge as building shapes from three different districts are randomly shuffled. You’ll earn points by connecting similarly coloured districts into larger clusters, with higher scores earning stars that unlock new levels and rebuilding the game world.

The gameplay evolves as you progress, with varied challenges such as collecting gold, growing trees and restoring monuments changing the way you approach each puzzle. As you complete levels with bronze, silver or gold markers, the once-ruined world is gradually brought back to life. The game features a level editor with Steam Workshop integration for creating and sharing custom levels, as well as leaderboards to compete with friends for the highest score.
