About The Game

Ambidextro casts the player as a royal wizard tasked with rescuing a prince and princess from the clutches of a witch. However, the task goes beyond simple navigation. The wizard has been split into two halves, forcing the player to control both halves independently. Each hand controls a different character, requiring precise coordination to overcome obstacles and reunite the two halves before time runs out.

Mastering this dual control system becomes essential as the levels become more complex, requiring a heightened sense of spatial awareness and split-second decision-making. Set in a medieval setting steeped in magic, Ambidextro is made up of a series of single-screen platforming levels. Traps, moving platforms, and shifting hazards test the player’s ability to manage two separate but interconnected movements.

The game’s structure remains linear, with each level being a self-contained puzzle to be solved using timing and manual dexterity. As the title progresses, the difficulty curve sharpens, with elements requiring simultaneous jumps, synchronized dodges, and perfectly timed landings. The mechanics are based on responsive controls, making the gamepad the perfect tool for controlling a divided body. Levels are designed to engage both sides of the brain, encouraging users to develop ambidexterity as needed.
