About The Game

Fretless The Wrath of Riffson is a turn-based RPG where players use riff-based instruments and techniques. The protagonist, Rob, a musician, works to restore harmony to a universe whose soundscape is being altered by villains. Rick Riffson, the head of Super Metal Records, seeks to dominate the entire sound sphere by trapping artists in soul-binding contracts as part of the Battle of the Bands competition. The player must control Rob and his companion to thwart Riffson's plans. The journey in Fretless - The Wrath of Riffson involves wandering through lands where elements of the world have auditory attributes.

Enemies include Riffson's minions, hybrid instrument monsters, and animals with melodic talents. Gamers collect riffs for their collection and use the guitar for offensive actions in turn-based sonic duels. Combat involves creating compositions from these riffs and synchronizing them with the rhythm to unleash powerful attacks. The entire game strategy revolves around collecting riffs and building a deck to create melodic fragments to use in an attack. Gamers are able to modify the way they play melodies using physical upgrades to their instruments. Selecting components, such as bridges or strings, opens up access to different tactics in clashes. The narrative is enriched with musical puns, colorful characters, and companions who share Rob's passion for sound. Navigating the accessible locations of this title allows you to discover areas where flora emits melodic sounds and rock formations respond with their own chants.
