About The Game

Pastel Parade features rhythmic gameplay based on well-timed button presses in time with the beat of the music. The controls are designed to be intuitive to learn and emphasize precision in the player's actions. This 2D project features four unique heroines who react to the gamer's successes. Their animations and movements directly reflect the effectiveness of rhythmic presses, providing instant visual feedback on each action during the performance of the song.

This single-player title is built on passing stages. Pastel Parade is based on a library of 30 original compositions. Each melody offers its own tempo and note pattern, and some tracks introduce significant complications that test the speed of reaction. The short duration of each game session, about 1 minute, facilitates multiple attempts on more complex arrangements.

Gamers interact with this catalog of songs to improve their results and unlock further content in the game. In addition to the main action, a visual novel-style narrative unfolds as you progress. The story unfolds gradually after successfully completing certain songs, adding context to the characters and their universe. The world is divided into 4 distinct areas, each with a unique theme. Progressing through these areas and uncovering the full story is directly tied to the ability to complete the corresponding music tracks, creating a holistic experience.
