About The Game

Caput Mortum invites the player to descend into an alchemist's tower in 16th-century France to explore its mysterious depths. First-person movement through the forgotten nightmares of the building is fraught with risk, and the main actions come down to confronting horrors and revealing the secrets of forbidden knowledge. To move deeper, you must carefully study the environment to restore the picture of the events that took place in the tower and solve unique puzzles encountered at every turn.

In Caput Mortum, nightmarish creatures roam the abandoned halls and attack without hesitation. The gamer will have to remain vigilant, using stealth to bypass these entities, engage in combat, or find other solutions. Health is a critical resource, since healing items are deliberately made rare, which is a reference to old survival game projects. Every door can hide a new nightmare, and every corner is the key to an esoteric secret, requiring the gamer to be constantly careful.

This game immerses you in a dark world where the tension increases over time. Attention to the details of the locations becomes a decisive factor in overcoming unique puzzles and moving through the rooms of the tower. Closely studying everything around, the protagonist restores the sequence of events that happened. The main challenge of the title is how far the character is ready to go into the depths of the building and what terrible realities he will eventually discover, moving further and further through the forgotten place.
