About The Game

Blippo Plus is a live-action, non-cable TV simulator. The main gameplay involves channel-switching to watch programs broadcast throughout the alien world. The airwaves are filled with soap operas, sitcoms, newscasts, weather forecasts, and all manner of talk shows. Each broadcast creates a separate universe, stylized as pirate TV and public stations from the 1980s, complemented by a surreal, static-filled presentation.

The main plot unfolds between the various shows, and the player assembles it piece by piece. Watching the shows unlocks data packets that update the electronic program guide with new episodes and messages to advance the story. Thus, a planetary-scale event, unseen, is gradually revealed. The project creates a psychedelic and often comedic atmosphere thanks to its live-action format and unique script. The content conceals a philosophical subtext beneath a layer of underground humor.
