You've come to help your grandmother. SHE WAS 98. She's alone in an old apartment, and the doctors say she has dementia. Everything should be simple: bring medication, cook food, brighten the loneliness. But something's wrong within these walls. The floor creaks in the wrong places. Things disappear and reappear in other rooms. She talks to someone in an empty corner, and her stories about the past don't add up. You chalk it up to illness. Until you realize the apartment lives by its own rules. There are no monsters under the bed here. The horror lies elsewhere.

It's in the way the dresser's shadow falls at the wrong angle. In the way a familiar face in a faded photograph seems alien. You start checking yourself: did you lock the door? Or maybe it's already unlocked? Are you sure you remember where you put the keys? Routine becomes a nightmare. Going to the kitchen for a glass of water is a trial. Every sound makes you turn around. You're no longer sure who's really sick here. She Was 98 is about reality slowly cracking. You don't fight. You're simply trying to maintain your sanity within four walls that feel less and less like home. It's a quiet horror. The kind that doesn't scream, but whispers behind your back.
