About The Game

Crabmeat is a dark hybrid of action adventure and psychological horror, forcing players to rely solely on precise mouse clicks to survive in the frozen ocean. Survival takes 2 to 3 hours, immersing the player in an atmosphere of total isolation. Players must navigate a cramped fishing vessel surrounded by thick fog. Every action is accompanied by increasing tension, turning the mundane wait for prey into a nervous system test. Listening to terrifying sounds from the abyss, players must constantly brace themselves for an encounter with chilling monsters. The game blends elements of the absurd with primal fear.

Crabmeat plot takes place in a bleak future in Antarctica. The protagonist finds himself a disenfranchised prisoner of a totalitarian state. He is forced to toil nonstop to pay off a colossal financial debt. His only chance of freedom is to catch the valuable southern king crabs. The government ship doubles as a floating prison, from which it is impossible to leave without permission.

To satisfy the demands of the faceless bureaucratic machine and survive this assignment, the prisoner will have to:

• Carefully distribute bait before sinking traps into the depths.
• Operate the winches when raising cages to the deck.
• Promptly repair the boat's broken onboard systems.
• Physically fend off aggressive creatures attacking from the darkness.
