About The Game

Machine Child is a parenting simulator based on the classic Princess Maker series, casting the player as the mentor of one of three potential daughters. Florine, Cordelia, and Chloe each possess distinctive character traits, making each playthrough unique from the very first moment of interaction. The narrative structure is divided into weekly cycles, requiring the player to carefully manage their time between educational activities and leisure. The choice between leisurely city strolls, country trips, or risky adventures shapes the character's unique set of characteristics. A branching talent tree and sophisticated social connections allow the player to fine-tune the heroine's abilities, preparing her for adulthood. Constantly monitoring these parameters is key to successful progress, turning parenting into a thrilling tactical challenge.

The fate of a child in Machine Child is determined through 22 possible endings, each associated with a specific Major Arcana card of the Tarot. Such a wealth of twists and turns encourages repeated exploration of the world, revealing new facets of the story as learning priorities shift. The characters' appearances undergo significant transformations thanks to an extensive clothing catalog, containing approximately 50 outfits for each girl. The collection includes seasonal looks and numerous color schemes, complemented by special illustrations for periods of rest. Emotional connections are strengthened by variable voiceovers, where the tone and content of phrases change depending on the level of trust in the teacher. The visuals and soundscape work synergistically, creating a holistic image of a maturing personality in a constantly transforming environment.
