About The Game

Cast n Chill offers a fishing experience spanning a collection of lakes, rivers, and oceans. Players travel to various fishing spots, attempting to catch the diverse aquatic creatures that inhabit these unique locations. During these expeditions, the player character is accompanied by a loyal dog present at each location. The resulting catch is sold for currency, which facilitates the purchase of improved equipment. This gameplay loop of activity and equipment upgrades determines further progress.

Cast n Chill offers two main interaction methods to choose from. The active method involves directly casting a line and reeling in catches, which speeds up the fishing process. Alternatively, the title includes a passive system that automates gameplay over time. This feature allows fishing to proceed without constant attention, allowing players to return at a convenient time to check on the catch accumulated during their absence.

Proceeds from selling catches are directly invested in equipment. Upgrading your gear is a central part of the gameplay mechanics, as it unlocks new fish species that were previously unavailable. Certain catches are only possible with specific gear configurations, acquired as you progress. Furthermore, the fishing simulator runs in a resizable window—a feature designed for use on a second monitor or for working alongside other tasks on a single screen.
