About The Game

Peaky Blinders Mastermind — is a unique gangster puzzle adventure set in the early 1920s and is focused on the underworld of Birmingham. The game was created by the independent British development team FuturLab. The game is based on the popular BBC / Netflix TV series Peaky Blinders, which debuted in 2013. Peaky Blinders Mastermind is a prequel to the first season of the series and takes place in 1919. We will control members of the Shelby gangster family — Tommy, Arthur, Polly, John, Ada and Finn, who are well known on the TV screen. The main plot of the game revolves around a cunning plan, the purpose of which is to deprive the Shelby family of all influence and connections in the criminal world of Birmingham.

The campaign begins with the mysterious assassination of a Chinese opium dealer. Stephen Knight, co-writer and creator of the series, contributed to the script for Peaky Blinders Mastermind. Regardless of the theme and setting, Peaky Blinders Mastermind is not a gangster tactical game or shooter. The game offers a unique gameplay and a series of missions consisting of logic puzzles that we solve by manipulating time. The three-dimensional world is presented in isometric projection.

We control six members of the Shelby family. They each have different skills such as harassment, bribery, stealing, or kicking doors. The action takes place in the head of Tommy, the head of the Shelby family, who is planning another leap or lucrative action. During a mission, players move a specific hero to a selected position and give him a command, for example, to open a door. Then, using the clear timeline at the bottom of the screen, they take away time and take control of the next character, who benefits from the passageway open to him.

The scenarios in Peaky Blinders Mastermind require us to be able to plan the actions of individual heroes and synchronize them, as well as use special skills and the ability to predict how they will affect each other in different ways. Players should also bet on quiet and covert problem solving or forceful methods. When completing assignments, we have unlimited opportunities to experiment and correct possible errors. The 3D graphic design in Peaky Blinders: Mastermind was developed in a slightly comic style. The game is accompanied by videos prepared in the form of two-dimensional illustrations. The soundtrack was produced by the rock band Feverist, who also worked on the series.
