About The Game
Chronicle of Innsmouth Mountains of Madness — the second chapter of the Chronicles of Innsmouth saga. A team of scientists is trying to be the first to reach a previously unknown mountain chain above the Himalayas. In a huge cave, they discover alien bodies of previously unknown creatures frozen in ice walls. Private Investigator Lone Carter regains consciousness and finds himself thrown out by the water on a beach near Innsmouth. His body is torn to pieces. His life is coming to an end. He tries to get the last cigarette out of the pack. His hand does not obey. When he goes into death, horror builds up in his eyes, he recalls the meeting with Shoggot became fatal for him.An endless period of darkness ensues. He is then awakened by a burning fire within, and he returns completely recovered and unharmed. Since this revival, Carter has had terrible nightmares. Extensive research led him to the discovery of a proposed expedition to the southern polar regions. A team of scientists is trying to be the first to reach a previously unknown mountain chain above the Himalayas. In a huge cave, they discover alien bodies of previously unknown creatures frozen in ice walls. The mountains hide the ruins of an alien civilization that, having visited Earth eons ago, made it their home with the help of their werewolf slaves: the Shoggoth.
These events concerning Carter take place ten years before the events of The Chronicle of Innsmouth, the first chapter of the saga, and will influence the stories of different characters from different eras, connected and connected by a common thread. We will travel to ancient Yemen, playing the role of Abdul Alhazred The Mad Arab, the creator of the Necronomicon and even take the place of H.P. Lovecraft himself, guiding him along the path of unraveling the secrets of his ancestry.
