About The Game
Glyph — is a unique 3D platformer that carves its own path in the genre with an unconventional approach to platformer mechanics. You play as a beetle from an ancient civilization long gone. As one of the last of its kind, you bounce, jump and slide through stages in the hopes of reclaiming what was once lost. The highlight is that your travel mode consists of rolling into a ball and using physics and momentum to move. Think of Samus or Hammond, where momentum is your greatest strength and weakness. Making each level look like an icy level on a lava floor is a bold move, but developer Bolverk Games manages to exploit the unpredictability potential of such a mechanic for a satisfying experience.Despite the ease of storytelling, it is enough to support a game so clearly focused on mechanics. Most of the knowledge is given in fragments by Anobi, our mentor, fellow bug and the one who revived us in this world. He accompanies us in a secluded environment, revealing secrets and knowledge at every level and pointing in the right direction. After some directions for getting around, he leads us to our primordial temple hub, where it is revealed that our main goal is to rebuild the temple. Using the gold collected in the completed stages, the player can open portals within the hub that lead to even more content. Be sure to collect floating gems in each level.
