About The Game

Black Skylands — tells about the captain of the airship, who is looking for the legendary heavenly lands, where eternal peace and prosperity reign. The hero travels between islands hanging in the air and fights with various enemies, including mercenaries and a variety of monsters. Soaring islands and giant airships are all, in general, similarities with Bioshock Infinite. With Enter the Gungeon, however, the game is related by a similar gameplay, although it seemed to me somewhat slower. The ground part of the gameplay is a shootout with opponents using an impressive arsenal of firearms. The hero uses an assault rifle, a shotgun, a grenade launcher and other barrels, whose modern appearance, by the way, is very unusual for a steampunk setting. In addition, you can use the environment, such as exploding barrels, and the character’s unique ability to slow down time, and it’s easy to hide from enemy fire behind destructible barriers or escape to a neighboring island by activating a jetpack.

The gameplay and dynamics, exactly as they should, are not too fast and not too slow. The weapon is very well felt and the guns shoot very juicy. A sniper rifle can pierce several opponents through and through, and a shot from a shotgun throws the bodies for a couple of meters. The combat system is perhaps the best part of Black Skylands. In addition to ground battles, if you can call them battles on platforms hanging in the sky, the game has an exploration of the world on an airship. It is controlled simply, but it shoots only from the side cannons. Probably, in the full version of the game, the guns can also be installed on the bow and stern, so in battles you need to turn to the enemy with the side. Here, monsters resembling giant flies act as enemies. Somewhere creatures like dragons fly by in the background, so the list of monsters will surely be rich.
